Port of Call (NL)

Port of Call is a band. Inspired by a golden generation, consisting of only the best people history could provide us. Inspired by the morning paper you never had the chance to read. Inspired by Lou Reed continuously asking for a high-quality Pernot. Not inspired by The Beatles, Haruki Murakami or The Avengers. Inspired by toilet paper covered with Shakespeare quotes. Inspired by dreams about Cadillacs and the simple sound of a broken radio transmitter. Not inspired by Anna Karenina and European Soccer. Inspired by naive sentimental thoughts.

As a songwriter Port of Call extensively toured Canada (coast to coast), Switzerland, Portugal, Italy and Germany. Port of Call is a former member of the international folk collective Folk Road Show. Port of Call performed at Oerol, Zwarte Cross, Welcome to the Village. Port of Call released two previous albums: ‘Our Body is Like an Ocean, It Changes’ in 2016 and ‘Ten Feet of Wind’ in 2014.
